Allow me to introduce the fastest, most powerful, and most expensive street-legal full production car in the world, with 1001 horsepower and 923 lb-ft of torque. This mad machine is the beast of all beasts and will easily desecrate any that try to oppose it.

Now let’s dive into the belly of the beast. This is a rear engine land rocket propelled by a W16 engine that consists of 4 banks of 4 cylinders which is the equivalent of two narrow-angle V8 engines that have been mated together in a W configuration. Each cylinder has 4 valves for a total of 64 valves and the unique narrow V8 configuration allows two camshafts to drive two banks of cylinders so there are only 4 camshafts necessary.

Apparently in Bugatti’s eyes this mammoth of an engine was not powerful enough, so they went and beefed it up a little by adding 4 turbochargers. This maniacal machine is not by any means “green” due to its 8.0L (488cu in.) displacement and 86 by 86mm square bore stroke and not to mention all the tires that one is likely to go through. What does all this mean you ask? This means that you will be paying frequent visits to the emergency room for constant whiplash from this behemoth’s stand still take off which propels the 4,160lb power house from 0-60mph in only 2.5 seconds and a meager top speed of only 253 mph.

  1. Dude. Man-candy. This is what my Boxster aspires to be… Awesome. Is it just me, or in the middle of that techno-massage was anyone else reminded of boasting stats like 56-57T, 40.8PA, 34.7CA, 77-50 LH-S and prime angular spectrum between 40-75 deg?

  2. If you look close enough, that’s me driving! :-) Super sweet!!!!

  3. I guess it’s a “nice enough” car…..(is it still called a “car”?) but think of how many BIG DIAMONDS that $1,700,000 would buy!!!!!

  4. Judi, that’s what makes us girls and them boys!! We see sparkly, shiny diamonds and they see a sparkling new car…LOL What they don’t realize is that the diamond will hold it’s value much more than the car and you won’t have to worry about repairs…tee hee :-)
