Celina - I did propose to Laura while we cuddled on the couch together after her daughter went to bed. Some situations don’t afford the most romantic settings but I made it special nonetheless. She made a silly comment once about tying a ribbon around something to save it as “yours”. I played that up ever since. So that night I played it to where I could ask if should tie a ribbon around her. She said yes. So I pulled a couple strands of gold ribbon out of my pocket and told her to give me her hand.

She gladly held her right hand over to me. I started wrap it around but said we should do the other hand, so she switched. Then I labored a bit to get it tied in a bow since I was concealing the ring that was tied to it in my hand. She helped me tie it.   Then I put my arm back around her. She started adjusting the ribbon. She got a little frustrated because it wouldn’t stay right, it being weighed down. Then she discovered there was something tied to it which led to varrying degrees of ,”oh”s. When the big OH hit I asked her to be my wife. She said yes kissing me. The diamond you sold me is beautiful. The jeweler I had make the ring I designed said “that’s a brilliant stone” as soon as I unfolded the wrapper. I showed my brother (who will need one soon) who mused that he couldn’t even focus on the stone. I explained to my fiancee that I chose a stone that was perfectly cut. Later she said she was looking at it in the bathroom and that it was “more than perfectly cut”. So I’d say she is very happy. Her mom was very impressed ‘never expecting a guy to have such a good eye for jewelery’. Thanks for your help! - Christopher & Laura, CO
