Hi James,

Yes we are engaged now! We actually didn’t get the ring back from my sister until last weekend. When I came home on Monday, there was a sign on the door that said “Getting engaged is easy: Step 1- find the guy, Step 2- find the ring.” I went in and Armand was standing with a vase full of flowers for me, so step one wasn’t hard! I started to look around the apartment for the ring when I saw our cat, Chai, jump on the table to inspect the flowers. She had her collar on and it seemed to be sparkling! The ring was looped around her collar and when I took it off, Armand got down on his knee and officially proposed. It was such a romantic proposal and I was thrilled that Chai got to be a part of it. The ring is, of course, spectacular and I’ve been mesmerized by it (and my handsome fiance) ever since. I’ll attach a couple of pictures that we took on the day so you can see. Thanks for all of your help! Rose

Lesley, The proposal went great! Gretel loves her ring, (it is really shiny!) and I love that everyone agrees that I did a great job picking out the diamond and making the selection. I could not be happier with my investment. I will be sure to tell all my friends to look beyond the typical B & M stores and go with a true class act. Thanks for providing me such a great experience! Blessings to you and your staff always!  Grace and Peace.

Thank you, Katie and Whiteflash, for your great customer service. You helped us choose such an amazing diamond. I love how it faces up so white and is super sparkly. WF did an awesome job on my custom wedding band too! My rings are definitely my dream set. Thank you! The wedding was everything we wanted it to be. Now we are just working and trying to get into shape for Hawaii for my sisters wedding in a few months. I attached some pics for you. One of my bridesmaids, Irene, also got her ring from WF! Anyways, I hope you are well!  Annie

derekzahajko_0806.jpgHi Bob, Just wanted to say thanks for all your help with helping me select and purchase my diamond ring! I really appreciate it! I cannot express enough how satisfied I am and how much I love the diamond, and the ring; they’re absolutely beautiful – and they look even better on her hand!! I proposed this weekend with success! She loves the ring, and can’t stop staring at the diamond. Her aunt who used to work for Tiffany’s couldn’t get over the fact that it was the most beautiful diamond she has EVER seen, and made me tell her all the details about the diamond. Thanks again for your help – I will definitely be recommending Whiteflash to anyone who asks (and probably some who don’t)!

Warmest Regards, Derek

Sheerah, My engagement ring is astoundingly beautiful -– the emerald cut diamond is gorgeous — we especially love the design! A very simple ‘east-west’ ring setting — a symbolic representation and a continuous reminder of the endless (as far as the east is from the west) love poured out by God for us, to us and for each other–we know it’s not a coincidence God brought Ernie from the east coast and I from the west coast together. The proposal wasn’t a complete surprise. We both expected to attend Bible study but Ernie came to pick me up with a ring in hand — he popped the question! We had an impromptu celebration at Jake’s in Del Mar.

Thank you so much for your assistance in guiding us to such an exquisite diamond. Your professionalism and expertise provided such personal touch service from my initial inquiry to Ernie having received the finished product! I will be in touch with you when it’s time to talk wedding bands. I already have the designs in mind! For me, I would like two micro eternity bands with baguette diamonds to sandwich the engagement ring and for Ernie, his band will be open and a baguette diamond will lie across east-west. We truly appreciated your hands on service and friendly follow up!

pj.jpgI just wanted to write and thank all of you for such an incredible experience. When I knew that I wanted to ask Jenna to marry me I was expecting an experience filled with stress and frustration, I’ve heard many a horror story about buying engagement rings. My friend John pointed me to your website and I must say I owe him at least a case because of it. From the second I signed up to the site to the day my ring arrived in 3 boxes and a bag (talk about anticipation, sitting in the parking lot ripping through all the packaging), the communication, care and information from all of you was more then I could have hoped for. From Kristin’s initial call and help picking out a great ring, to the emails from Shandel and Priscilla with information about the order and financials, Judi working with me getting my buddy John his referral, the beautiful picture from Tim, and finally the shipping emails from Vera and Jamie. Questions were answered within minutes instead of days and I never once wondered where my ring was or if you got my money or how long it was going to take. In the end not only did I get one of the most beautiful rings I’ve ever seen (especially when it’s sitting on her finger), but the best experience I have ever had buying anything. If asked I would recommend you without hesitation. Since we got engaged on a cruise ship, we were lucky enough to be surrounded by dozens of photographers all ready and willing to take some great engagement photos. I attached the one I think turned out best below. Thank you again so much for all your help and the beautiful ring! PJ Linke

Sheerah,

Everything went as well as I could have hoped. My main goal was to keep it a surprise, so I was able to do that and everything else fell in line. She definately loved the ring and she will probably end up keeping it as is, now that she is attached to it. I’m not sure if I mentioned this originally in our communications, but we had an Alaskan cruise planned and in one of our ports (Juneau), we had a Glacier Trek scheduled with a local company there. I arranged it beforehand with the company to do the proposal on the trek, somewhere on the glacier. The guide picked his favorite spot toward the end of our hike on the glacier itself. The total trip was probably 6-7 miles, so we were pretty exhausted by the time I actually proposed. I’m attaching some pictures from the glacier. The one with Stacy and I in it is right after the proposal.

Here’s another anecdote that you may enjoy. I don’t know how familiar you are with cruises, but in general they push jewelery sales pretty heavily, both on the ship and in each port via dozens of jewelers such as Diamonds International. DI, of course, pushes their Hearts on Fire branded H&A cut. In casually comparing my WF diamond to the various diamonds in the display cases, most times it was not even close. The WF diamond destroyed mostly everything. The only thing comparable by eye was the HoF, but the price difference is definately not comparable! Anyway that made both of us feel pretty good, so I thought you might get a kick out of that. :)

Hi James…. Adam forwarded your message to me… So I’m attaching some pictures of our Italy trip…. The one in the Gondola is right before Adam proposed and the others are of Italy… (You’ll notice that the ring is in every pic after that.. LOL ) Our engagement was amazing, the whole thing! Like Adam said, I didn’t find out that we were going to Italy until we were at Check-in at the Airport. The ring is beautiful. I still catch myself just still staring at it… Thanks, Ashley

mikecomb12.jpgmikecomb2.jpgWe got engaged on Sunday June 22nd. That morning my fiancee Bethany had her graduation ceremony for the PhD program she has been attending. Her aunt and uncle and a bunch of friends where in town and many of them where staying with us for the weekend. After the graduation ceremony we had lunch and then went back to my condo. I told everyone that I had to go pick something up and took Bethany with me without telling anyone where we where going. Our first big date had been at an all day outdoor concert in a park about 45 minutes from my home. I had decided that I wanted to recreate part of that date in the proposal. I drove us to the park taking a route that she wouldn’t recognize and had her blindfold herself when we where a couple miles away. I guided her out into the middle of a field in the park and gave her an iPod headphone to put in her ear. On the iPod I played one of our favorite songs from the band that had been the closing act at the show. The song had been playing during our first kiss. I kissed her while removing the blindfold, gave her a second to figure out where we where and then pulled the ring box from my pocket, got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. Somewhere between tears she said yes! We took the attached photos a few minutes later. We both think the custom ring Whiteflash made is gorgeous and I’m glad I spent the time finding a ring that was just right for her.   -Mike

derek_n_belle.jpgHey James,

Sorry it has taken so long to respond to your email. I did propose on April 26th and everything went as planned. As for her reaction to the ring, I figured it would be best to read her words. So she wrote:

IT’S PERFECT!!! :)
When I used to close my eyes and picture the ring I would want, this by far surpasses it. I wake up jealous of myself every morning hehhehehehe I love it I love it I love it I love it I really really really honestly and truly love it! I still don’t know how Derek pulled off such a huge surprise, but it was perfect and everything I ever dreamed about… Thank you!!!

Thank you for all of your help. Sincerely, Derek

jaredjenny.jpgBob and Team, thank you so much for putting together such a beautifully ring, …. so quickly, … and in a way that gave me confidence (and thus eased my nerves a bit). You were all wonderful to work with, and I will certainly post on PriceScope to sing your praises (that I think you are covered on PriceScope in that department) as well as to show the very helpful expertise on the site the end product. Oh, and she said yes.  Thanks a million, Jared

Hi James,

I just wanted to share with you that some of our friends–Jessie and Joe–recently got engaged with the help of Whiteflash! While Steve and I were discussing getting engaged, I would often tell my friend and co-worker, Jessie, about our plans. When I told her about the ring, she sounded very interested. I explained how we’d done our research online and found Whiteflash, and what Steve’s ‘ring budget’ was. When I told her it was around $1K, she said, “Joe was talking to some of his friends about his ring savings, and one of them said, ‘What are going to get with THAT?!’ and made Joe feel kind of bad,” and I reassured her that I would share with Joe the research and try to steer him to Whiteflash, and that at this point in our lives, it makes sense to be more concerned about student loans than huge ring budgets. I linked Joe to your website and told him of our excellent experience, and helpfully ’suggested’ a setting and stone I knew Jessie would love. :) Well, on her birthday earlier this month, she got exactly what she wanted: a lovely 1/3 carat round solitaire in a white gold setting. I heard from Joe (they recently moved to Texas for him to attend Texas A&M for his PhD) that his experience with WhiteFlash was great; an error happened while he was using the online ordering system, but a quick call cleared up everything and Jamie was very helpful! Just wanted to say thanks to Whiteflash for helping our friends get engaged!

What fantastic customers we have! Brian, the Cutter, was so touched by the beautiful basket of fruit, wine, and cheese that our customer Elizabeth recently gave him in appreciation.  Above is a picture of Brian holding the basket and a copy of the note that was attached.

steven.jpgBob….You did an unbelievable job on putting this whole thing together. I couldn’t be more happy with the ring and the glare that comes from her finger and hits her in the eye. It was very difficult putting trust in someone whom I’ve never met before to choose whether or not this ring is beautiful. I would do it all over again in a minute. You can expect to hear from me again in the future and I have a lot of good buddies in the same position and I will gladly refer them to you. Thanks for all your hard work. I think our smiles in this pictures speak of how happy we are with the ring.

Sheerah,

Sorry it’s taken so long for me to get back with you. Thank you so much for all your help. The ring turned out great. The day after we got engaged she spent most of her time staring at her ring asking “Is it always going to be this sparkly?” The ACA stone is perfect. It catches light from every angle and shines brightly in the sun light. She loves the custom ring design and is proud of me for designing it myself (with your help, of course).

We got engaged on the roof of a historic fort overlooking the ocean on the coast of Puerto Rico. The night view over the ocean and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore made it all the more romantic. She said “yes!” and we plan getting married in D.C. sometime in the Fall of 2009.

BEFORE THE PROPOSAL:jacky-copy.jpg
It’s as beautiful as the pictures showed. I am truly amazed at the quality of the diamond and the workmanship of the ring. Whiteflash’s ACA is really worth every penny, and the custom design exceeded my expectation. Also, the cleaning kit and H&A kit are very much appreciated. My girlfriend will be wowed when she sees it this Friday. Finally, big kudos to Sheerah for all her help throughout the process. But don’t think you can get rid of me yet. I will be back bugging you guys about custom wedding bands real soon!

AFTER THE PROPOSAL:
just got back from my trip and wanted to share some pictures of the ring with you. My girlfriend, Lilly, absolutely loved the ring. She kept saying it must be fake because it sparkles sooo much under ideal lighting. Turns out she knew about the surprise proposal for a long time now. I stupidly left my email to you open on our computer so she knew exactly what I was up to. But everything turned out perfectly in the end!

I’m a savvy and discriminating buyer when it comes to a high ticket items. That said, I’m the type of person that is always willing to pay more for quality under the right circumstances. When it comes to selecting a diamond engagement ring I’ve always believed that quality and cut are more important than size or stone volume. So, I knew going into it that I wanted a high quality single diamond set in a simple, yet elegant ring setting. I knew of Whiteflash through a business colleague, and heard they carried an exclusive collection, but had reasonable pricing. Like most people I struggled a little with the understanding that I couldn’t see the diamond before I purchased it. Before I bought from them a checked out a few local jewelers, so I could get an idea of what an SI1 quality diamond is supposed to look like.

I made the decision buy with Whiteflash for 4 reasons. 1) They had very good reviews online, and have very good service people. 2) While they do not sell cheap stones they are still on average more competitive than local jewelers offering similar quality stones 3) All of the stones I viewed carried certifications and appraisals and 4) Most importantly, Whiteflash offers a special cut called “A Cut Above.” This is a signature cut, which quite frankly is “a cut above” the rest. I received my diamond ring today and it is hands down the best looking diamond of all of the stones I previewed. Here’s a tip, pay by wire and they will give you a discount.

April 30th, 2008 by Katie

joe.jpgHi, Katie-

I don’t think I ever updated you on the results of the ring purchase. First of all, I was extremely satisfied with the diamond. It was beautiful and a great price, too. Can’t complain. I think if I could do it all over again, I’d get a different band, though. I mean, she likes the tiffany setting, but it is just so common… but where it got difficult for me is that if I would have purchased something else, she may not have liked it- and my philosophy is that you cant go wrong with the tiffany setting! I had the ring for about a month before I asked her. We went to Morro Bay in California… there is a ledge that takes you out to the Ocean and we were the only ones out there. It was pretty nice. I didn’t really plan it but I had been carrying the ring around. I thought it wouldn’t really get nicer than that- so I asked her there. Of course, she said yes and we are planning on getting married some time next Spring (our work schedules wont allow us to get married earlier!). Thanks for everything.

Sheerah and Vera,

I just wanted to write and and say a big THANK YOU for all of your help in selecting my stone and creating my dream ring! Brian proposed last week and I finally got to see the ring you helped us create, and I can honestly that it takes my breath away every time I look at it. Everything about it is perfect, and I know none of it would have been possible without the two of you guiding us through the process.

Again, my deepest thanks, and I look forward to doing business with Whiteflash again in the future! For your viewing pleasure, I have attached a photo of the ring on my finger. :) -Elisabeth

dmitry2.jpgDear Katie, I picked up the ring 2 days ago, and was away since. The ring and diamond looks excellent, there is nothing that i could fault at all!!! I have had a chance to take it for an inspection at DCLA, they are a Certified Diamond Laboratory in Sydney, for a confirmation of the stone as to the AGS certificate, their verdict was that the stone is as per certificate, they could not test the color as it was already set. They also were familiar with White Flash, and I’ve been told that they are yet to see a stone from WF that does not coincide with the certificate. All in all everyone who has seen the ring has been very impressed to say the least, me included.  Thank you very much for everything, and I will have no hesitations to recommend your work to anybody and also contact you myself should I be in the market! Regards, Dmitry

rita.jpgKatie - I still love my ring. I have attached a picture, although it really dosn’t do it justice. I have had people stop me in stores to admire it though and I don’t hesitate to tell them about Whiteflash. Thanks for your help.
