Of course one of the most popular Labor Day events is all the amazing grilled food that we will all ingest and regret on Tuesday! I know in my perfect world they would bottle and sell that grilled food smell. Weird, I know, but anyone who adores grilled food as much as I do, knows […]

SO CREEPY.
From Times Online.
Damien Hirst’s diamond-encrusted cast of a human skull has been bought by a group of anonymous investors for its asking price of £50 million, the artist’s representatives claimed yesterday. It is, by a huge margin, the most paid for a work by a living artist. Entitled For the Love of God, the […]

Well, early Saturday my boyfriend, Billy, got up pretty early to go stand in line at Toys R’ Us to get a Wii, while I was manning the phones for Whiteflash. I’ve been doing quite a bit of research and reading a lot of reviews on it and everything, sort of like all my clients […]

The city of Houston decided not so long ago that it would be so much “safer” (more revenue!) to install cameras at many of our intersections so that drivers going through red lights would be caught in the act and sent a $75 ticket. This immediately struck me as intrusive and kind of “big brother […]

From MiningMx by Brendan Ryan
THE reason there are so many junior mining and exploration companies looking for diamonds is because of the “incredible returns” when an economic kimberlite pipe is found. Those returns are good enough to keep attracting juniors to the business despite the fact that less than one per cent of the kimberlite pipes […]

I realize that you had to go above and beyond to make everything happen and I really appreciated the effort. My now-fiance is thrilled with how beautiful her ring […]

An Austrian company said on Friday it had sold the most expensive lederhosen ever made - a diamond-studded pair of Alpine leather trousers that cost €85,000 ($135,000). Something funny is when customers call and immediately assume you are their sales rep….it’s as if we all sound the same….I don’t know how. Sheerah has a very eloquent voice and speaks so clearly. We all know she wishes she could just sing to her customers. Jamie is pure giggles. I wish I could laugh […]

A diamond mine in South Africa is claiming to have unearthed the world’s largest diamond—7000 carats!!—which, if confirmed to be real, would be twice the size of the previous world-record holder, the Cullinan Diamond, which was discovered near Pretoria in January 1905 and weighed about 3,106 carats uncut. The stone is said to be the […]

Dance: to move one’s feet or body, or both, rhythmically in a pattern of steps, esp. to the accompaniment of music.
Here is another example of what fun dancing is! This video is from a recent social at Sonia’s dance studio. I am dancing with Salomon Amaya-a local Houston salsa instructor I have taken several […]

I had to share this! A client sent it to me on accident… but it was a good accident. If this doesn’t brighten up your Thursday, I don’t know what will.

This little poem I wrote represents ALL the many customers that come through our Processing Offices to visit with Brian, the cutter. It typifies many of the young men who are ready to make that big step!

Fidgeting and nervous, I see him waiting there
He’s made […]

Early this year a blog post titled “Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year” proposed that darkening the home page on millions of computers will save energy. People who support the concept are now using Blackle, powered by custom Google, as their primary search.

Looking to get your gilded groove on?  The 24k gold iPod made a splash in April, but its $800 price tag is nothing compared to the $20,000 work of diamond-encrusted iBling here.  Unnecessary?  Yes.  Obscene?  Possibly.  Downright silly?  Definitely, but it’s nice to find news stories that aren’t about Paris or Britney, so I welcome […]
